Special Education Teacher - Portland, Oregon

What You’ll Do:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Address academic, developmental, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs
- Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities for early childhood/elementary students
- Track and document student progress, celebrating successes and identifying opportunities for further growth
- Collaborate with service providers, paraprofessionals, families, and fellow educators to meet each child’s needs
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and supporting student goal-setting
- Maintain a structured, nurturing classroom environment where every student feels safe and supported
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Oregon special education teaching license/certification with early childhood endorsement or eligibility
- Previous experience in early childhood special education
- Experience supporting students with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Solid understanding of IEPs and how to individualize instruction
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Enthusiasm for helping young learners build confidence and develop to their fullest potential
