Key Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education (SPED) Massachusetts certification required
  • Moderate/Severe (Mod/Sev) License needed
  • Prior experience working with students in special education settings strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for varying student abilities

Primary Duties:

  • Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students with moderate to severe disabilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with district and state guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation
  • Maintain detailed records documenting student progress, goals, and interventions
  • Participate actively in team meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional learning opportunities

This contract position offers a consistent Monday – Friday schedule with 32 hours per week, allowing you to dedicate meaningful time to your students.
