Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education (SPED) Massachusetts certification required
- Moderate/Severe (Mod/Sev) License needed
- Prior experience working with students in special education settings strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for varying student abilities
Primary Duties:
- Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation
- Maintain detailed records documenting student progress, goals, and interventions
- Participate actively in team meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional learning opportunities
This contract position offers a consistent Monday – Friday schedule with 32 hours per week, allowing you to dedicate meaningful time to your students.
