High School Special Education Teacher in Richardson, TX

Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas Special Education Teaching License is required
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the high school level
- Understanding of Life Skills classroom models and the unique needs of students in these programs
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and team members
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and adaptive instruction for high school students in a Life Skills classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs, adapting curriculum to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
- Foster a supportive, structured classroom environment that encourages growth, independence, and social development
- Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and maintain accurate documentation
