Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Texas Special Education Teaching License (required)
- Experience teaching in a life skills or special education high school setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Passion for fostering growth, autonomy, and confidence in students
- Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of high school students in a life-skills classroom
- Adapt curriculum and instruction to address a range of learning abilities and goals
- Collect data and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide guidance and communication to families regarding student progress
