As a travel Autism Support Specialist, you’ll expand your professional expertise by collaborating with diverse teams across multiple campuses. Gain valuable experience serving students from kindergarten through age 21 in a dynamic, itinerant setting. Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Several years of dedicated experience supporting students with Autism
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis and research-based interventions
- Ability to develop and modify curriculum for diverse learners
- Demonstrated skill in leading IEP teams and collaborating across disciplines
- Experience designing and delivering staff and parent training preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and behavioral support for ASD students (K-21)
- Collect/interpret assessment data and develop individualized support plans
- Implement evidence-based instructional and behavioral interventions
- Collaborate with educators, service providers, and families
- Develop IEPs and participate in eligibility assessments
- Present training for staff and families on ASD interventions
- Support student independence, social skills, and community resource access
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal policies
