Position Details:
- Contract role from August 19 through May 30
- 7.25 hours each day, Monday through Friday
- Single school site, middle school setting
- Manage a small caseload of six students, allowing for individualized and focused support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials
- Experience working with middle school aged students, particularly those with emotional or behavioral needs
- Demonstrated ability to flex schedule to respond to student needs
- Solid classroom management and collaborative skills
- Commitment to fostering an encouraging and stable learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specially designed instruction and support to students with emotional/behavioral difficulties in the general education environment
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and administration to promote positive student outcomes
- Monitor progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed
- Offer guidance and emotional support to help students navigate daily academic and social interactions
