With a caseload of just six students at one convenient site, you’ll have the opportunity to provide individualized attention and foster both academic and personal growth.
This position offers a full school year commitment, running from August 19 through May 30, working 7.25 hours per day, five days per week. Your schedule will remain adaptable, allowing you to best address the unique and changing needs of your students.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials
- Experience working with students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Strong understanding of general curriculum modifications and accommodations
- Ability to establish trust, rapport, and a supportive classroom environment
- Flexibility in schedule and teaching approach to align with student needs and school activities
- Commitment to collaboration with school colleagues and parents to support student success
Responsibilities include:
- Providing targeted academic and behavioral interventions within the general education setting
- Tailoring lesson plans and instructional materials to meet each student’s individual education plan (IEP)
- Monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as necessary
- Maintaining clear, constructive communication with students, families, and school staff
- Promoting a positive classroom culture that values respect, growth, and achievement
- Adapting daily routines and interventions in response to evolving student needs
