Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active California credential in mild/moderate special education (REQUIRED)
- Experience teaching or supporting students in grades 6-8 preferred
- Strong background in delivering Special Academic Instruction (SAI) and Resource Specialist Program (RSP) services
- Ability to differentiate instruction and manage an IEP caseload
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Teach four sections of SAI classes with a focus on 6th grade writing and English Language Arts
- Serve one section as Resource Specialist Program instructor
- Effectively manage a caseload of approximately 27 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to foster student success
- Maintain thorough progress reports and data collection per district and state requirements
- Engage in school team meetings, parent conferences, and professional learning
