Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico Special Education Teacher license required
- Experience with early childhood (Pre-K) special education desired
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt instruction for a range of student abilities and backgrounds
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in both resource and inclusive Pre-K classrooms
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs
- Foster a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere to support growth and independence
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and documentation
This contract position is available immediately and continues through May 27, 2026. You’ll work mornings (7:30 AM - 12:00 PM) Monday through Thursday, giving you time for personal commitments and flexibility during the week. Compensation for this W2 contract is competitive, ranging from $36 to $40 per hour.
