Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs. The ideal candidate will create and implement individualized educational programs, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the unique learning needs of students.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student achievement.
- Modify curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments as needed.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Utilize data to guide instructional decisions and improve student outcomes.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities.
- Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
Qualifications
- Required: Valid Special Education Teacher License/Certification in the state of employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Experience working with students across a variety of disability categories.
- Knowledge of evidence-based instructional and behavioral intervention strategies.
