Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Current teaching certification in Special Education issued by NM SPED
- Solid understanding of special education principles and demonstrated expertise in subject areas being taught
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Positive attitude and dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, individualized instruction tailored to students' unique needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Monitor student progress, adjust strategies, and maintain detailed records
- Proactively communicate with parents, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure student success
