This full-time, onsite contract position runs from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, for approximately 36 hours weekly throughout the 2026-2027 school year. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific credentials required)
- Proven experience working with high school students in inclusive educational settings
- Strong knowledge of the IEP development and implementation process
- Effective at fostering positive relationships with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Capable of adapting instructional strategies to address individual learning needs
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction within general education classrooms for students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers to modify curriculum and tailor supports
- Implement, monitor, and document progress on IEP goals and objectives in compliance with guidelines
- Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings to evaluate student progress and identify service needs
- Serve as an advocate for students, engaging actively with parents or guardians and related professionals
- Maintain accurate records and support a positive, inclusive classroom environment
