A rewarding opportunity awaits for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support high school students integrated into general education classrooms. This full-time, onsite contract position runs from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, for approximately 36 hours weekly throughout the 2026-2027 school year. The setting combines collaboration with general education staff and personalized attention for a caseload of around 16 students.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific credentials required)
  • Proven experience working with high school students in inclusive educational settings
  • Strong knowledge of the IEP development and implementation process
  • Effective at fostering positive relationships with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Capable of adapting instructional strategies to address individual learning needs
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction within general education classrooms for students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with general and special education teachers to modify curriculum and tailor supports
  • Implement, monitor, and document progress on IEP goals and objectives in compliance with guidelines
  • Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings to evaluate student progress and identify service needs
  • Serve as an advocate for students, engaging actively with parents or guardians and related professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and support a positive, inclusive classroom environment
