Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid New Mexico Special Education teaching license required
- High School positions require secondary certification in English or Biology, as applicable
- Prior experience working in high school, middle school, elementary, or PreK special education settings preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to cultivate positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans for students in your assigned caseload
- Deliver specialized instruction in English, Biology, resource, ILC, or inclusion settings as assigned
- Track and report on student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal special education requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
- Create a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports learning and growth for every student
