In this role, you'll work on-site with a Pre-K classroom of six students, primarily supporting children diagnosed with autism. As part of your duties, you’ll assist with daily routines, including toileting as needed, helping each child thrive academically and emotionally. Travel educators are encouraged to apply for this rewarding experience.
Qualifications & Licensure
- Active Educator Certification required (must provide visual documentation)
- Proven experience or strong interest in working with Pre-K and students with autism
- Ability and willingness to assist with toileting and manage sensory needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptive teaching skills
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, respectful classroom environment
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
- Deliver instruction tailored to diverse learning and developmental needs
- Maintain a nurturing, structured space supporting social, emotional, and cognitive skills
- Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all special education requirements
- Follow all district policies and standards of practice
