Special Education Teacher | Trenton, New Jersey

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education certification in New Jersey (NJ sped license preferred).
- Experience supporting students in elementary school settings, especially first grade, is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Ability to implement IEPs and adapt lessons to various learning needs.
- Open to participating in virtual panel interviews via Zoom.
- Must be available to start the week of August 29th and commit through November 6th.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-class resource support for a first grade classroom.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to provide differentiated instruction.
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation in line with IEP goals.
- Develop creative strategies to foster student engagement and achievement.
- Serve as a positive role model and advocate for exceptional learners.
- Engage with school staff, families, and support personnel as needed.
This position runs during the traditional school day, full time, so you will have reliable scheduling and the ability to build strong connections with your students. The district’s supportive leadership ensures resources and training are in place for your onboarding, making your transition welcoming and smooth.
