- Skilled in collaborating with support staff, including teaching aides, for cohesive classroom management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Directly teach, plan, and assess daily lessons for a caseload of 5–6 students (potentially 8 by year’s end), guided by individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Oversee 1–2 classroom aides in delivering targeted interventions and supporting student engagement.
- Serve as a resource to families and multidisciplinary teams regarding progress and strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all special education documentation and procedures.
- Create an inclusive, supportive setting that encourages student growth and independence.
Why You’ll Love This Opportunity:
- Impactful work with a small cohort of students and supportive colleagues.
- The chance to work in a district open to innovative approaches and traveler educators.
- Full-time, consistent hours within a community-focused environment.
