Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (LBSI) appropriate for elementary grade levels
- Previous experience working in self-contained classroom settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with Unique or STAR curriculum is an asset

- Strong classroom management and communication abilities

Position Details:
- Guide and support a small self-contained classroom of 4th and 5th grade students
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans and differentiated instruction
- Track and share student progress, communicating with parents and specialists as needed
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff in a dedicated self-contained program setting
- Engage in regular staff hours from 8:05 am - 3:35 pm (M, T, Th, F) and 8:05 am - 3:50 pm (W)
- Contract runs from August 17, 2026, to May 28, 2027; option to attend new teacher orientation (August 5-11)
- 35 hours per week with a daily 30-minute lunch break
