Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and active Professional Educator License (PEL) required; please have a copy available when applying
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in a resource room or inclusive classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation, including progress monitoring and documentation
- Excellent classroom management and communication abilities
- Collaborative mindset to effectively partner with general education staff, families, and support specialists
- Commitment to providing in-person instruction and hands-on student support
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction within the resource room to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and families
- Adapt general education curriculum to meet the unique strengths and needs of each student
- Employ evidence-based strategies to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Maintain detailed, compliant records and track student progress and goals
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that celebrates student diversity
