Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Assistive Technology Credential (IL AT Creds) required
- Certified Special Education Teacher with proven experience supporting diverse learning needs
- Demonstrated knowledge of assistive technology tools, applications, and best practices
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with general/special education staff, students, and families
- Adaptable, problem-solving mindset and commitment to inclusive education
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess student individual needs related to assistive technology in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Recommend, implement, and monitor technology solutions that support curriculum access and learning outcomes
- Provide training, coaching, and technical assistance to staff, students, and families on device usage and strategies
- Serve as a resource for the Early Childhood Assessment Team and elementary buildings, supporting students across multiple sites
- Manage a varied caseload, tailoring support plans based on student profiles and IEP objectives
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with state and district guidelines
