What You Need to Succeed:
- Valid New Mexico teaching license (Special Education certification)
- Experience or strong interest in working with students on the autism spectrum
- Ability to manage K–6th grade caseloads and tailor instruction
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Comfortable with full-time, Monday–Friday hours
- Flexibility, organization, and empathy are key attributes
- Willingness to participate in virtual interviews via Zoom as scheduled by the director
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver effective, individualized instructional strategies for students with ASD
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as required for optimal growth
- Collaborate with classroom staff, therapists, and families to support student learning and inclusion
- Provide a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages growth and development
- Maintain detailed and accurate records, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations
