Key Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education certification (preferred or required based on assignment)
- Classroom teaching experience in special education
- Proven ability to implement IEP goals and deliver specialized instruction
- Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
- Experience collaborating with paraprofessionals, service providers, and families
- Willingness to travel to a variety of sites within a 35-minute drive from your home
- Flexibility to respond to rapidly changing classroom assignments
Preferred Experience:
- Autism support or ABA-informed instructional approaches
- Emotional or behavioral support, de-escalation, crisis prevention, and trauma-informed practices
- Adapted curriculum and support for students with multiple or significant disabilities
- Background in Intermediate Unit or specialized education settings
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate high-quality instruction, adapting to a range of specialized classroom environments
- Provide support to students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
- Implement positive behavior supports and sensory regulation strategies
