Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working in elementary self-contained classrooms or similar settings

- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring

- Professional adaptability within a team, especially with teaching assistants
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver lesson plans tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Monitor and document student growth, updating IEPs as needed
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants to maximize classroom support
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and support staff
- Foster social and emotional development alongside academic growth
- Implement research-based strategies and interventions
This assignment is for the upcoming school year (25/26), offering 30-32.5 hours per week in a structured, self-contained setting. Compensation for this role is highly competitive at $70 per hour.
