Special Education Teacher - Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience teaching elementary-aged students, particularly in self-contained classrooms
- Strong classroom management abilities and a positive, student-centered mindset
- Experience working collaboratively in team environments with teacher assistants and staff
- Proficient in developing, implementing, and tracking IEPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver lesson plans tailored to students’ unique learning needs
- Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development
- Work with teacher assistants to optimize classroom effectiveness
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP implementation
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary staff
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
