Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Cross Categorical license required
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged special education students preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to create and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Passion for fostering growth in children with diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction in a self-contained classroom of 10 students, ages kindergarten through 2nd grade
- Develop differentiated lesson plans and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records, track student progress, and communicate regularly with families and staff
- Cultivate a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Collaborate with related service providers, administrators, and families for optimal student progress
