Special Education Teacher | Andover, Minnesota

This contract role focuses on providing individualized instruction to early childhood students who require special education services, with scheduling flexibility to accommodate work/life balance. This is a .5 (half-time) teaching position, and there is potential for the role to be extended to full-time based on future needs.

Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education teaching license (as required in Minnesota)
- Demonstrated experience teaching young learners in special education settings
- Strong understanding of IEPs, learning accommodations, and best practices in early intervention
- Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for fostering growth, confidence, and academic progress in early learners
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans in accordance with each student’s IEP
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction
- Collaborate with related service providers, families, and other educators
- Monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with stakeholders
