Special Education Teacher - Barre, Vermont

Two contract opportunities are available for certified Special Education Teachers: one with a dynamic middle school caseload and another focusing on elementary-level learners. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification meeting current state requirements (required)
- Experience working with middle or elementary school students in a special education setting
- Strong skills in individualized instruction, IEP development, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to in-person instruction
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student assessment data and learning goals
- Deliver targeted, differentiated instruction and support for students with diverse needs, including behavioral, emotional, and learning disabilities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related services providers, and families to optimize student success
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required
