What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Georgia Special Education licensure for high school grades
- Experience or strong interest in working with high school-aged students with severe and profound intellectual disabilities
- Comfortable with job duties that include physical aspects to support students’ unique needs
- Ability to collaborate with a team; district-provided supervision (Paras, RBTs, CNAs, or LPNs) available
- Commitment to individualized instruction and student advocacy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Engage students with creative, inclusive learning strategies
- Provide hands-on support while maintaining a safe, compassionate classroom
- Coordinate with fellow educators, support staff, and families
- Track and document student progress in alignment with goals
- Uphold compliance with district procedures, including required fingerprints and onboarding prior to your start
