Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Valid Georgia Special Education teaching certification for high school.
- Experience or strong interest in working with students with severe/profound intellectual disabilities.
- Physical capability to assist with classroom/educational tasks as needed.
- Willingness to complete school district onboarding and fingerprinting prior to start.
- Full-time availability; commitment through May 26, 2027.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and individualized support to high schoolers with significant intellectual disabilities.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student needs.
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team (paraprofessional, RBT, CNA, or LPN support provided by the district).
- Engage families and fellow educators to foster student development.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all district policies and procedures.
