Special Education Teacher in Cannon Afb, NM

Openings are available for high school, middle school, elementary, and Pre-K special education settings. Highest priority placements include High School SPED roles focusing on English and Biology, each requiring a high school certification. Additional positions include Resource roles at the middle school level, Intensive Learning Center (ILC) positions in elementary settings, a pullout/inclusion combination role, and a Pre-K SPED assignment. All positions are based onsite, creating abundant opportunities for meaningful one-on-one and group instruction.
Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico (NM) teaching license with appropriate SPED endorsement
- High School certification required for SPED English and Biology positions
- Experience supporting individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and positive classroom environments
- Flexibility to respond to the specific needs of different student populations
- Previous experience in special education settings preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs that address students’ unique learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure integrated service delivery
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation
- Utilize data-driven instructional and behavioral strategies
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and team members
