What you bring:
- Current Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher Certification required
- Demonstrated experience (or strong interest) working with secondary students on the autism spectrum
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with families, support staff, and fellow educators
- Flexibility, compassion, and commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction in an Autism Support classroom aligned with students’ IEPs, adapting lessons to meet diverse needs
- Collect and track student progress, documenting achievements and challenges
- Work closely with related service providers and classroom assistants to coordinate support
- Engage in regular communication with families and caregivers to ensure consistent support and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as needed
