Special Education Teacher - Elizabethtown, PA

What you’ll bring:
- Current Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher Certification (required)
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum in a secondary school setting preferred
- In-depth understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for fostering inclusive education
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction tailored to students with autism in accordance with IEP goals
- Use evidence-based strategies and assistive technology to maximize student learning and participation
- Assess student progress and document growth, adjusting approaches as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create cohesive learning experiences
- Communicate regularly with families to support student achievement and address concerns
- Maintain a positive, safe classroom environment, encouraging independence and self-advocacy
