Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and classroom support for students with autism in a secondary school setting.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs.
- Modify curriculum materials and adapt teaching strategies to ensure accessibility and student success.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support consistent student progress.
- Collect data and monitor student growth, making adjustments to instructional techniques as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development throughout the year.
Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher Certification required.
- Prior experience supporting students on the autism spectrum strongly preferred.
- Ability to develop effective, individualized instructional plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
