You'll make a direct impact as part of a dedicated team, guiding students in essential skills across early elementary grades.
Several caseloads are available based on your expertise and preference:
- Learning Support for Grades 1st & 2nd: Work with small groups (up to 12 students) in Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies.
- Learning Support for Grades 2nd & 3rd: Support a group of 12 students as they develop core academic skills.
- Kindergarten Inclusion: Foster a collaborative classroom environment, promoting inclusion and early success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education teaching license
- Experience in an elementary or early childhood setting, preferably with small group instruction
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for nurturing individual academic and social growth
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet various learning needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction to small groups
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitoring progress and documenting growth
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and planning sessions
- Create an engaging, supportive learning environment that sparks curiosity
Teachers start August 19th, with students returning to school September 2nd. The regular hours are 8:00am to 3:45pm, allowing for a consistent schedule and time to connect with your students and colleagues.
