Special Education Teacher | Clarksburg, Maryland

This role is ideal for educators who are dedicated to special education, enjoy a consistent full-time schedule (7:30 am - 3:30 pm), and value seeing your students grow over the course of a school year. The program emphasizes individualized learning and developmental progress, ensuring every student receives the specialized support they deserve.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a middle school setting
- Commitment to fostering academic, emotional, and social growth for all students
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff
- Ability to implement and adapt individualized education plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to students within the Learning for Life Program
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to student goals
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, therapists, and staff to coordinate student supports
- Regularly communicate progress and strategies with families and educational partners
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation in compliance with program and legal requirements
