Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Demonstrated commitment to meeting the diverse learning needs of middle school students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with staff, students, and families
- Experience implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and program modifications
- Ability to foster an encouraging, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Willingness to work onsite, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Essential Duties:
- Provide direct, differentiated instruction to students enrolled in the Learning for Life Program
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and behavioral supports to promote student engagement and success
- Track student progress, adjust teaching strategies, and maintain accurate documentation
- Work closely with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to support each learner’s academic, social, and emotional growth
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and ongoing program planning
