We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to provide instruction and case management for students with a range of needs across several school sites near Collbran, CO. Position Details:
- Contract position beginning August 4 and ending June 4
- 40 hours per week, working primarily four days per week, with occasional professional development days
- Six openings available due to growing student needs
- Caseload sizes: Mild/Moderate (approximately 25 students); Significant Needs (8-10 students)
- Each teacher assigned to one school site
- Teach and support students at various grade levels, depending on assignment
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Education Teacher license required
- Previous experience managing a special education caseload beneficial
- Strong skills in differentiation, classroom management, and individualized instruction
- Compassion, adaptability, and collaborative spirit
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver instruction tailored to the diverse needs of students in your caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Collect and document student progress; adjust strategies as needed
- Participate in professional development activities as required
