Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with self-contained classrooms, particularly for students with significant needs
- Familiarity with ABA methodologies and managing significant behaviors preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Dedication to providing individualized instruction and supports
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Foster a nurturing, structured classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth
- Collaborate with paraeducators, related service providers, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student success
- Monitor student progress and adapt instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities
Position Details:
- Two openings available:
• K-1st grade self-contained (5-6 students, significant needs)
• K-6th grade in a Montessori campus setting (self-contained)
• 4th-6th grade self-contained - Contract runs from ASAP through May 25, 2027
- Schedule: 7.5 hours daily (30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday, approximately 7:40am – 3:00pm
