Desired Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Louisiana DOE Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement (required; not accepting alternatives)
- Demonstrated experience in special education classroom settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and instructional interventions
- Collaborative, flexible, and adept at adapting to multiple school environments
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Must pass district-required drug test, district fingerprinting, and agency background check
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing guidance to non-certified special education teachers
- Support IEP writing, data collection, and student progress monitoring
- Develop and model effective instructional strategies within varied school settings
- Serve as a resource and mentor, fostering best practices in special education
- Work directly with students and educators to ensure positive educational outcomes
- Travel between assigned schools following the district calendar, 35 hours per week
