Key Qualifications:
- Valid Louisiana DOE teaching certificate with Special Education (SPED) endorsement—required for consideration
- Demonstrated expertise in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, data collection, and instructional support for special needs students
- Ability to collaborate with diverse school staff and adapt effectively to a multi-campus assignment
- Thorough understanding of progress reporting and evidence-based instructional strategies
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check, fingerprinting, and district-mandated drug testing
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assistance and mentorship to non-certified instructors in special education environments across multiple schools
- Offer expert guidance on IEP writing, documentation, and compliance
- Support data-driven decision-making, progress monitoring, and instructional adaptation
- Collaborate closely with school personnel to ensure students’ unique needs are met
- Maintain accurate records in alignment with district and state requirements
This position spans up to 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the school district calendar, offering valuable experience in a variety of educational settings.
