Key Requirements:
- Valid LBS1/PEL certification
- Prior experience teaching in Special Education settings, especially autism support classrooms
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with paraprofessionals and educational team members
- Ability to develop individualized lesson plans and adapt curriculum materials
- Commitment to fostering a safe, positive learning environment for all students
Responsibilities Include:
- Teaching and managing a small elementary caseload in the STARS autism classroom
- Implementing IEPs and tracking progress toward academic and behavioral goals
- Collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student
- Providing differentiated instruction tailored to students’ individual needs
- Documenting student progress and participating in meetings as required
- Promoting a positive, inclusive atmosphere within the classroom
