Special Education Teacher - Fall River, Massachusetts

As an educator committed to student growth, you'll work a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule for the 2026–2027 academic year, beginning September 1, 2026, and concluding June 17, 2027. You’ll play a vital role by developing and implementing individualized education plans, adapting curriculum, and fostering a supportive classroom where all students can thrive. The number of students on your caseload will be determined prior to your start date, ensuring an organized and focused approach to student needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid DESE Special Education Teaching Certification for grades 5-12
- Experience working in high school settings, particularly with inclusion models, is highly desirable
- Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Assess student progress and coordinate with educational teams
- Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and progress tracking
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Communicate proactively with parents and guardians
