Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid 5-12 Moderate Disabilities certification required for both positions
- Demonstrated experience providing tailored instruction in a special education setting
- Strong skills in collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation abilities
- Previous experience in a school setting at the middle or high school level preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality special education services directly to students, supporting their unique learning needs and goals
- Adapt and modify lesson plans to align with IEP objectives, ensuring all learners achieve measurable progress
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where every student feels valued and supported
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure cohesive support and to communicate progress regularly
- Utilize effective behavioral management strategies and differentiated instructional techniques
- Keep thorough records of student progress, participation, and service delivery in compliance with district and state guidelines
