Qualifications:
- Valid 5–12 moderate Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle or high school students in a special education setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to create inclusive and engaging lesson plans aligned with individual needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct special education services to assigned middle and high school students
- Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student learning and success
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create a comprehensive learning experience
- Engage in data-driven instructional practices and maintain detailed records for each student’s progress
- Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student independence and achievement
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a cohesive educational team
