Requirements:
- Valid Nevada Special Education (SPED) licensure required
- Experience with high school students preferred
- Comfortable teaching both Special Education and General Education
- Strong background in delivering life skills curriculum
- Proficiency in de-escalation techniques with students exhibiting behavioral challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high school caseload with individualized education plans
- Implement engaging, differentiated lessons for both general and special education students
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment
- Teach essential life skills and promote positive behavior through evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and specialists to ensure student success
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Fulfill a full-time contract: 35 hours per week, August 24, 2026 – June 4, 2027
