With support from an experienced paraprofessional already in the classroom, you'll be equipped to create a positive and structured atmosphere tailored to your students’ unique needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher endorsement
- Experience working with autistic student caseloads highly preferred
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) experience is a plus
- Background in ABA methodologies strongly desired
- Knowledge of individualized educational plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and best practices in special education
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with each student’s IEP goals
- Utilize ABA strategies and behavioral management techniques
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment designed to help students reach their full potential
- Collaborate with the paraprofessional, related service providers, and families
- Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt and modify curriculum based on student needs
- Maintain classroom structure and safety
- Engage in daily communication with staff and guardians regarding student needs and achievements
