Special Education Teacher in Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Deliver instruction, adapt curriculum, and create differentiated learning strategies for students in 1st–6th grades.
- Collaborate with classroom paraeducator to maximize support and learning outcomes.
- Utilize ABA principles and interventions, incorporating RBT methodologies as appropriate.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional approaches based on student data and feedback.
- Foster a structured and nurturing classroom environment to bolster student growth and engagement.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education endorsement required.
- Proven experience working with students on the autism spectrum, specifically with autistic caseloads.
- RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) and/or ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) experience preferred.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary educational setting.
