Desired Qualifications:
- Active GA Special Education (SPED) teaching license appropriate for high school grades
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with students classified as Severe and Profound Intellectual Disabilities
- Ability to meet physical demands associated with assisting students
- Strong communication skills and dedication to collaborative teamwork
- Commitment to following district-mandated onboarding procedures, including fingerprinting
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualized instruction tailored to each student’s IEP
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages student growth
- Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and other educators
- Maintain ongoing communication with families and guardians regarding student progress
- Complete regular documentation and reporting as required by the district
- Participate in training and professional development as offered
