Step into a meaningful contract role making a difference in the lives of elementary students by supporting 2nd and 3rd graders with developmental delays or intellectual impairments. This position is based onsite at a local school and requires a dedicated Special Education Teacher ready to get started as soon as possible. You’ll be working full time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, through the end of June 2026.
Ideal candidates bring school-based experience and hold an active Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate or Severe Disabilities. You’ll join a collaborative, caring environment focused on helping every student achieve growth and success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate or Severe Disabilities (active status required)
- Prior school-based experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience supporting students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments
- Ability to pass a CORI background check and fingerprinting (or provide a letter of suitability from a prior employer)
- Comfortable working full time on site
- Ready for a Zoom interview
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and classroom support for 2nd and 3rd grade students on your caseload
- Tailor lesson plans to individual needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families
- Track student progress and document interventions
- Maintain a supportive, inclusive learning environment
