Special Education Teacher | Somerville, Massachusetts

Hours are 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts license/certification for Moderate or Severe Disabilities
- Prior school-based experience required
- Ability to pass CORI background check and fingerprinting (a letter of suitability from a previous employer for fingerprints may be used)
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Passion for supporting students with developmental challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to 2nd and 3rd graders with developmental delays or intellectual impairments
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse needs
- Work closely with fellow educators, support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
- Uphold school and district policies while ensuring a safe classroom environment
