What you’ll bring:
- Active California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in moderate/severe disabilities (required)
- Experience teaching in a K-12 special education setting, preferably with students in mod/severe or ESN populations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment
- A collaborative approach with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving caseload and student needs
In this role, you will:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within a classroom setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to ensure accessibility and student growth.
- Collaborate with support staff, families, and related service providers to maximize student success.
- Deliver direct instruction, assess progress, and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
