Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working in self-contained settings, preferably with early childhood or K-1 students
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management skills and a child-centered approach
- Collaborative attitude with experience directing and working alongside paraprofessionals or education tech staff
- Passion for fostering inclusive, nurturing, and growth-oriented learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet the unique needs of a small caseload of K-1 students
- Create and implement effective IEPs, collaborating with team members, families, and related services
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to classroom ed techs
- Maintain detailed student records and document progress
- Participate in regular team meetings and school-wide initiatives
- Foster social, emotional, and academic development in each student
