Two dynamic roles are available: one on-site, full-time position providing direct instruction for a caseload of 21-22 high school students, and another part-time, virtual role supporting students in alternative placements. Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification recognized by the state
- Experience working with high school students preferred
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction for a variety of student needs
- Prior experience with virtual teaching platforms (for the virtual position)
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to an individual caseload
- Developing lesson plans and instructional materials to support differentiated learning
- Implementing behavioral and academic interventions as needed
- Maintaining compliance with state, federal, and district special education guidelines
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Utilizing data to inform instructional decisions and adjust supports as needed
- Documenting student progress and participating in IEP meetings
